Rain wiped out a large number of games this week, but it did not diminish three outstanding feats of the week. Farmington’s Justine Davidson had a huge day for the Lady Cardinal softball team in back to back games, hitting three home runs and driving in seven runs; Grace Nowlin led her Rogers soccer team to a 4-3 win, getting a hat trick of three goals; And Fort Smith Northside track star Demari Smith clocked a 10.51 in the 100 at the Bulldog Relays in Fayetteville.
Also, Springdale has begun the search for a new athletic director, and Greenland’s highly successful girls basketball coach Alan Barton is stepping away from the sideline and into a full-time principal role.
